Liberation-focused, anti-oppressive therapy and therapy intensives for adults in Pennsylvania

& online throughout New Jersey, Maryland & 40 other states via PsyPact

Are you scared that if you ride the tide of your emotions, you’ll be swept out to sea, never to return?

Do you find it hard to prioritize your emotions while also keeping up with the pace of capitalism?

  • You may appear calm and collected most of the time, but underneath, your body has been screaming at you (ex: chronic pain/illness, sleep difficulties)

  • You have coping mechanisms that allow you to continue performing but they are no longer allowing you to feel well

  • You feel like you have to suppress your true feelings, identities, and beliefs to get through the day

  • You’ve lost interest in things you used to love, but you convinced yourself it’s all in service of your larger goals

  • You’re able to recognize how unwell you are, but you still feel like you shouldn’t let it show on the surface

  • You have an easy time identifying what you “should” be feeling but have a hard time recognizing what you are feeling

You’re ready for some relief

I’m so glad you’re here

Hi! I’m here to help!

I’m Dr. Maureen Fleming, a licensed clinical psychologist

I work with people to uncover and unpack emotions that have been suppressed over time due to perfectionism, high achievement, and/or adverse treatment and expectations related to their intersectional identities. I specialize in nervous system regulation and helping people feel human again.

While coping is an important part of therapy, with me, it isn’t the end goal. I’m here to help you find sustained healing. Whatever that looks like for you.

Don’t know? No problem. We can figure it out together.

If you’re looking for any of the following..

  • Your relationship with yourself to be as genuine as your relationship with others is

  • Your internal experience of success to feel as good as you imagined

  • Your feelings on the inside to be more in alignment with how you present on the outside

  • A deep-seated belief that you are worthy of love and rest, regardless of how much you produce or do for others

  • More ease with staying present in your body

  • Empowerment and authenticity in your home, relationships, and workplace

You’ve come to the right place!

  • I work virtually throughout Pennsylvania – Philly, Pittsburg, Allentown, State College, Lancaster, and beyond. I also can see anyone located in a PsyPact state. My practice centers folks who are tired of having to push their true feelings down to fit into systems and environments that require them to seem fine. Whether that’s a toxic work environment or relationship, or the broader capitalistic, sexist, and racist institutions that perpetuate our daily lives, I prioritize the topics and emotions that everyone seems to prefer you hide. I truly believe that the only way to heal is to feel and I love working with people who are either right on the cusp of being ready to dive in or know that diving in is the only option they currently have to survive. Many of my clients come to me with burnout, moral injury, disability, and fatigue but I have a wide range of clinical experiences to address anything you might be carrying.
